  Cartiotoxin (CTX) induces muscle damage at the same extent and in a uniform manner in both wild type and MLC/mIGF-1 transgenic mice. Macroscopic evaluation of Evans Blue Dye staining after CTX injection. Tibialis Anterior (TA) muscle of both wild type (Wt) and MLC/mIGF-1 (Tg) transgenic mice was damaged along its entire length with 4 different CTX injections for Wt and 5 different CTX injections for Tg mice (5μl of 10μM CTX per injection). This experimental condition ensured muscle damage at the same extent and in an uniform manner in both Wt and Tg mice. Un-injured muscle areas are indicated with arrowheads.
