Figure 3. Schematic representation of hypothetical protective action of End-2 against Aß1–42. It is widely believed that aggregation of Aß1–42 and interaction between amyloid assemblies and cell surface are key pathological events of AD. End-2 prevents Aß1–42 associated pathology probably by binding to aggregated Aß without interfering with kinetics of fibrillogenesis.
