-activating drugs have no effect on early TNF
-IL6-STAT3 signaling, augment late cytokine signaling, suppress cyclin expression, and inhibit hepatocellular proliferation during liver regeneration, with efficacies that correlate with their relative PPAR
-activating potencies (i.e. rosiglitazone exhibited the greatest inhibitory effect). These studies provide the first evidence linking regulation of PPAR
activity and the hepatic regenerative response.
