A) One hour prior to intranasal challenge with LPS, mice were injected with saline or urocortin III (150 µg/kg), and the total number of neutrophils recovered in BAL was determined 3 h after the administration with LPS. Urocortin III significantly reduced pulmonary neutrophilia after LPS. The CRF2-specific antagonist astressin 2B (Ast2B; 500 µg/kg) or saline was given 1 h before UCNIII.
