Interplay between Ras-related and heterotrimeric GTP binding proteins: lifestyles of the BIG and little

GM Bokoch
Department of Immunology, Scripps Research Institute, La Jolla, California 92037, USA.

Directed interactions of heterotrimeric G-proteins coupled to receptors responding to extracellular signals and small Ras-related GTPases that control a variety of intracellular processes are being elucidated by recent work. We explore two of the most well-characterized pathways that couple big G-proteins to their smaller relatives.
